Banner ads using vCam
I have just finished some new banner ads while freelancing at Publicis Modem in Lodon. The ads were fairly stright forward but required a line being drawn out and also zoomed in tight while the line is being drawn out. This could have been done by moving the containing moviecilp around the starge but as the track is quite large it gets quite messy quite quickly.
I remembered back to when i worked at Wavelength with a really good animation guy Jay. He showed me a camera tool that was all contained in a movieclip and that you could use like a camera in After Effects or 3D modelling software. This little tool called vCam saved me a lot of time and the final result became quite cool. I was only doing AS2 banner work but there is an AS3 version that can handle parallaxing, depth bluring as well as the other features in the AS2 version like alpha and tint.

Really looking forward to seeing this. I know these guys did a lot of cold nights making this film.

She’s gone.
It took me way too long to post up the fact that Rocky is sold. Didn’t expect her to sell so quick, so I put her on craigslist and in under 24 hours she was gone. Craziness. Anyway, on to the next project. I learned a whole lot about bikes, that’s the whole reason I bought the bike to begin with.
Enjoy these last few photos that were snapped of her before she was sold.
